Siemens introduces SINAMICS PCs, a new power conversion system for battery storage applications. SINAMICS PCs grid conversion system can use locally generated battery power for industrial and public power grids. SINAMICS PCs controls the charging and discharging process of the battery, and uses the battery storage to deal with the peak load and grid interference, so as to save energy and cost, and integrate the energy stored in the battery into the power grid efficiently and safely.
The power grid conversion system is based on SINAMICS S120 platform technology which has been verified by the industry. Thanks to the application of liquid cooling technology, it can achieve efficient and energy-saving operation. This compact and powerful power conversion system includes grid connected technology and control, grid side filter, bidirectional converter and liquid cooling system, and can be easily integrated into the control room or container as a complete system.
SINAMICS PCs is certified according to the German "grid connection rules" vde-ar-n 4110, which means that the fixed battery storage unit can be connected to the public medium voltage grid after completing the minimum certification work. The verified Matlab / Simulink simulation model simplifies and accelerates the planning, optimization and power grid integration of power conversion system. The bi-directional converter can be easily integrated into the drive system with the help of SINAMICS startdrive, an engineering framework. Based on this, users can read the running status and system parameters through PROFINET communication interface, so as to monitor and analyze the operation data, and make accurate judgment on the service work to be carried out.
